Red, White, and Blues Festival
Red White and Blues Festival
On Saturday, Sept 11, 2010 there was a great event on the community lawn that brought me back to my childhood. Three bands preformed on two stages, The Top Cats, Poppy & the Usual Suspects, and McDowell Mountain Ranchs’ very own Retro. Kids filled the grass running around as patrons relaxed in chairs and on blankets.
The McDowell’s in the background provided an amazing backdrop especially during the sun set.
At one point, all the music stopped and they folded the flag to tell what each fold meant and it gave me chills.
It was a great community event and if you missed this one, you should make it a point to come to the next. 🙂
